Settino named broker of the year for 2016

Ed Settino, a senior broker associate of New Hampshire Business Sales, has been named Broker of the Year for 2016.

This is the fifth year in a row that Settino has earned the honor as the company’s top performer in Main Street sales. “Ed’s competitive nature, honed in his avocation of recreational hockey, carries over into his work. When he gets an opening to sell a business, he leaves no stone unturned to get it sold,” commented Leon Parker, president of NHBS.

During 2016, Settino was responsible for selling five businesses, ranging from the e-commerce business Worldwide Chocolate to Will’s Inn in Bartlett. “Ed has a great attitude toward his work and great drive to get things done,” added John Howe, vice president of the company.

Settino has over three decades of experience in the property management business, from site manager to corporate president and owner. He founded Metropolitan Parking System, Inc. in 1977, and built it into one of the top parking system companies in New England, with over 50 sites in RI, MA, ME, and NH. After selling his business he obtained his real estate license and then his broker's license, and has been affiliated with N.H. Business Sales since 2001. He lives in Wolfeboro.

New Hampshire Business Sales, based here, has completed its 40th year as the state’s premier business brokerage firm. The company has assisted owners of privately held NH businesses in valuing, marketing and selling their businesses since 1976. The firm’s associates have a variety of business backgrounds and ownership experience. Associates work from offices around the state.
