Public service has been a core value of N.H. Business Sales since its founding in the 1970s by Stewart Lamprey, then a commercial real estate broker based in the Lakes Region.

Over the weekend during the traditional Town Meeting period in N.H., Leon Parker, the president of NHBS, was honored by the town of Henniker for his long term service to the community.

Through the years, Parker has served on the Board of Selectmen, Zoning Board of Adjustment, Capital Improvement Project, Road Management Committee, Budget Advisory Committee, Selectmen Representative to the Planning Board.

Parker began his work with NHBS under Stewart Lamprey, of Moultonboro, who served not only his town but the State of New Hampshire as Speaker of the House of Representatives and then President of the NH Senate.

“We are proud that Leon has given so much of his time to the town since it reflects our core values: make a difference wherever and whenever we can,” said John Howe, VP and co-owner of the company, and the director of Business Transition Strategies, the company’s M&A and advisory division.

NHBS and BTS team members are all active – and are encouraged to invest part of their time - in community groups, nonprofits, state and regional industry associations.
