Bringing Buyers and Sellers

ROCHESTER: The shuttered Lilac Mall Cinemas are posed to reopen by the end of July, thanks to a small theater chain and the efforts of New Hampshire Business Sales.

The new owners are TBA Theaters which also operates movie houses in Lancaster and Berlin, NH. New Hampshire Business Sales represented the owner, Spinelli Corporation, and assisted the buyers in the sale.

“It is a great day for the Rochester area,” says Broker-Associate Don Leavitt of New Hampshire Business Sales. “TBA Theaters believes in the local economy and has a track record of operating excellent movie houses with fair ticket prices.” Leavitt is no stranger to the movie business having owned and operated his own small town theater for many years.

Leavitt adds, “A key factor in bringing this deal together was the backing of the owner of the Lilac Mall, the Kempner Corporation. They really wanted a theater for the Rochester community and were very accommodating.”
