Leon Parker, CBI, Principal Broker/Co-Owner, is now company President. After graduation from UNH, Leon went to Washington and became a Federal Executive, with years of service in the Navy, Peace Corps and a government foundation involved in foreign assistance. Since his return to New Hampshire in 1985 he has been involved in real estate and business brokerage. Leon has been associated with Stewart Lamprey for many years. He has handled a wide range of businesses, and sold properties from Nashua to north of the notches. He is a member of IBBA (International Business Brokers Association), NEBBA (New England Business Brokers Assn) as well as the New Hampshire Lodging and Restaurant Association.
Melanie Heinis, Operations Manager, provides administrative management for the company from her base in the Pembroke office, where she oversees administrative activities, marketing, web & print advertising, and acts as the communications coordinator for the company. Our associates spend a lot of time on the road, and are seldom in the office, making them often hard to contact, and making her communications coordination role very important. She has been with us since January 2000, and has a total of over 20 years experience in business brokerage offices, in addition to several more years of office administrative work.
Ed Settino, Broker Associate, has 30+ years in the property management business, from site manager to corporate president and owner. Ed founded Metropolitan Parking System, Inc. in 1977, and built it to the most professionally managed parking company in New England, with over fifty sites in RI, MA, ME, and NH. After selling his business he obtained his real estate license and then his broker's license. With his experience of negotiating hundreds of contracts throughout his career, Ed can serve the seller and potential buyer with his many years of first-hand, owners experience. He lives in Wolfeboro, NH.
Ken Schaefer, CBI, Associate, & Deputy Director the BTS Division, brings nearly 35 years of experience in managing, operating and owning various retail businesses in New England, most recently as the owner of a retail business in Southern NH. For business sellers and buyers, he will be able to call upon his extensive business experience from start-ups to exit strategies. He is an IBBA, NEBBA and M&A Source member. A business intermediary since 2006, and CBI since 2011, Ken focuses his efforts from Greater Manchester to the Seacoast. His office is in Manchester. 
Anthony Avrutine, Broker Associate, has a broad personal background in the marketing, advertising, and hospitality industries. He also was the owner of a successful publishing company. Anthony brings extensive business intermediary experience and knowledge in the selling and buying of business opportunities, especially with hospitality, recreation and travel businesses. He has been a licensed real estate broker in N.H. and Vermont for over 25 years. He is a member of the Meredith, NH Rotary Club and is active in local and regional affairs. Anthony lives in Center Harbor, NH.
John Post, Associate, has been working with a wide range of businesses as a member of SCORE, a resource partner of the SBA for the past nine years, where he has been responsible for counseling more than 200 clients to start, grow and sometimes sell their businesses. This involvement followed an extensive career with Hewlett Packard and Philips as a general manager, marketing manager and sales manager which enable him to bring a wealth of experience to each business client. He continues to teach marketing to businesses in New Hampshire and maintains a strong relationship with bankers throughout the area. John is a member of the Northeast Angels, an angel investment group based in Milford and has helped many businesses prepare presentations to angel investors. He is based in Amherst.
John Howe, Vice President & Co-owner, has a broad business background as general manager of a daily newspaper company for over 30 years. His experience includes bottom line responsibility for a multi-million dollar budget, staffing, project coordination, human resources, advertising sales, new products, production and editorial oversight. He retired from Citizen Publishing Company, a division of Geo J. Foster Company. In 2008, he was presented the Yankee Quill Award for his career in journalism and was elected to the New England Academy of Journalists. He has taken graduate courses and seminars in marketing, management and accounting. He is a member of International Business Brokers Association and the New England Business Brokers Association. He is a corporator of Belknap County Economic Development Council, Lakes Region General Healthcare, Laconia Savings Bank and an incorporator of Taylor Community. He is a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International and is active in civic groups. He graduated from Bates College. John is also the Director of 
Ivor Thomas, CBI, Associate, Director and former co-owner, has a diverse business background of sales, management, and administrative experience. A Pennsylvania native, a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh (Bachelor of Science) and of Adelphi University (Masters in Business Administration), he served as an Officer in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. Subsequently, he was affiliated with Proctor & Gamble Co.'s Charmin Paper Products manufacturing operations in Pennsylvania in various supervisory positions, with the former St. Regis Paper Co.'s Kraft Division as Divisional Planning Coordinator in New York City, and as Director of Corporate Planning & Human Resources in Bristol, NH for Freudenberg-NOK (formerly International Packings Corporation). Since becoming a Business & Commercial Real Estate Broker in 1990, he has performed business valuations, is a member of IBBA, NEBBA, & ABBA(American Business Brokers Assn), and has been involved in a variety of transactions with all kinds of business activities throughout NH.
Stan Evans, Broker Associate, is a native of Gorham, NH and a graduate of UNH. He has an extensive business background, including 20+ years in banking in Commercial Lending, Commercial Real Estate Lending and Business Development. He also has private company management experience and has owned and operated his own business in NH's White Mountain region. He is a member of IBBA. Stan lives in Salem, NH.
Mike LaPierre, Associate, has been affiliated with business brokerage in New Hampshire since the mid 1980's. He was an associate with a national business broker franchise and received many national awards for sales achievements in N.H., New England, and nationally. Mike has amassed experience and understanding of the selling and buying of business opportunities and has carried a N.H. Real Estate license for over 20 years. Mike's office is in Moultonborough, NH.
Judie Post, Associate, has been consulting with businesses for more than 25 years. Additionally, she has owned, operated and sold several of her own retail and service businesses. She has been involved in the Southern New Hampshire business scene through her consulting work, volunteer work with SCORE, a resource partner of the SBA and has an active network of business owners in the area. Her background in marketing and development helps her clients to present their qualities and values to the buyer. Her experience in strategic and business plan coaching can help businesses to present key information to the seller. She is based in Amherst.
John Coto, CBI, Associate, owns Alliance Business Brokers, LLC in Nashua, NH and is one of our strategic partners. His listings involving real estate are done with us. John had an extensive career in computer and high tech sales, followed by owning his own high tech company which he sold after 11 years. He now has been a business intermediary since 2002. John is an IBBA member and works out of his Nashua office.
